Macro lenses have a very shallow depth of field, so we focus-stack: several frames at different focus points, merged into one. It is the only way to get a ring or necklace perfectly sharp from front to back. Specialized lighting, flags, and diffusers keep gold and silver smooth and polished, without harsh bright spots or a reflection of the studio.
